Getting started

Everything you need to know to start using Pakt

Step 1. Buy some MATIC

Pakt runs on the Polygon network, so you need its native token MATIC to pay for transaction fees. The most common way to buy some is through a centralized exchange like Binancearrow-up-right or Coinbasearrow-up-right. If you've never done this before, you’ll need to create a new account and verify your personal identity. Then, you'll be able to send fiat currency and buy some MATIC.

Step 2. Install MetaMask

Pakt is a decentralized app, which means you will need a wallet to interact with it. A popular option is MetaMaskarrow-up-right. You can install it as a browser extension, making it really easy to confirm transactions. Follow the instructions to create a wallet. Note that if you want to use Pakt on your phone, you will need to install the MetaMask app instead (on iOSarrow-up-right or Androidarrow-up-right).

Add the Polygon network to MetaMask (instructions herearrow-up-right).

Transfer some MATIC from your centralized exchange to your MetaMask wallet (instructions herearrow-up-right or herearrow-up-right).

Step 3. Get PAKT tokens

To make a pakt, you need to bet some PAKT tokens. You can trade MATIC for PAKT tokens on Uniswaparrow-up-right. Note that the price can change depending on supply and demand.

If you cannot find the token, verify that you are on the Polygon network and enter the PAKT token address 0x9A6A527daeb7439dd00FcAe70d7C6aAD5A9777a3 in the search bar.

Step 4. Install the Google Fit app on your phone

To verify your bets, Pakt will check the data from your Google Fit account. You need to install it on your phone (iOSarrow-up-right or Androidarrow-up-right). On iOS, you’ll need to authorize Apple Health to share data with the app.

Step 5. Pakt web app

You are now ready to use Pakt! You can access the web app herearrow-up-right.

You can also use Pakt on mobile as a progressive web app. To install it, go to the home pagearrow-up-right on your mobile browser and click "add to home screen" from the browser options. Note that you will need to switch between Pakt and the MetaMask app for each wallet interaction, so the experience may be less smooth than on desktop with MetaMask as a browser extension.
